Holy shit it’s been a while-
  +
  +
Anyways, I’ve been gone because life’s a bitch. I’ve been feeling really stressed out recently, but I still tried to work on stories.
  +
  +
And with this, I’m proud to announce that my website will be up in 2020! Don’t know when in 2020, but in 2020. It might take a while, though, since I’ll be trying digital drawing for the first time.
  +
  +
So yeah, things have happened over the break I’ve had, like Alex’s birthday (October 28) and my birthday (November 16; I also got a phone and that was pretty cool).
  +
  +
Another piece of news, I made another story! <s>No stop that’s too many!1!!11!1!</s> It’s called “Lust Demons Want To Love, Too!” and I’ve been working on this one over the break I’ve had. Because of its more mature themes, I’d rather not affiliate it with the place I’m hosting this right now. It’ll be up on my website when I make it.
  +
  +
And I guess another announcement is that I’m kinda working on a sixth story, which is a collection of romance stories at an all-boys high school. Originally, it was going to be something in The BL Club, but I decided it’d be better off as it’s own story. I also kinda got attached to these two characters in it, Jack and Raiden <s>I find their relationship super wholesome asdfghjkl</s>. Just because they aren’t in the same story, doesn’t mean they aren’t intertwined in some way, though...
  +
  +
aND ANOTHER THING-
  +
  +
I got some books for Christmas: my first BL manga series, a how to draw manga book (cause I still need to improve my drawings), and a Japanese From Zero! workbook. I feel like these will help me greatly with my journey to becoming a mangaka. Speaking of which, I’ve been looking at vocational colleges in Japan. It feels pretty wild that I’ll be going to college next decade, doesn’t it?
  +
  +
So I guess it’s time for New Year’s Resolutions, because I think we all know I probably won’t update until the new year.
  +
  +
ONE LAST ANNOUNCEMENT-
  +
  +
With the new decade, I’ll be going by a new name, as well. So cue the magical girl-themed transformation, where I turn into my new persona, '''Kerosene Jorts''' (just call me KeroJorts, though). I might get some social media accounts under the name of KeroJorts, as well, but we’ll see.
  +
  +
Anyways-
  +
  +
In this new decade, I want to work hard to get my life on track and to improve myself and my stories. It’s really possible that I could debut one of my stories in the late 2020s, so I want to be ready for it. Things are definitely going to be stressful this upcoming decade, so I’ll have to work a lot more, and like that guy on the WiiFit board from a long while ago, my body will be ready. I feel like things are looking up for me, so I’ll do my best!
  +
  +
Happy Holidays to everyone, and thank you. To the people who read this, I really don’t feel like I express my gratitude enough. Like, seriously, '''''thank you'''''. But before I go, have a dad joke:
  +
  +
See you next month, year, and decade!
  +
  +
Jokes aside, I’ll see you all in the new decade, and as always, thank you for following the development of my stories.

Hello, I'm Night the cringe2, but go ahead and call me Night.

This page is dedicated to the stories I've been developing and whatever comes along with them (ex. drawing, learning Japanese, etc).

Total Dictatorship

Preface

Wow.

It's been close to a year of development already. Pretty damn crazy how time flies.

I started development on this around late November-early December of 2018. The inspiration came from a song called Don't Mess With Me by Tempohark. It stuck me in a certain way I don't know how to explain, but it also got me thinking; "What if I wrote a story about a cruel dictator?" I got up from my chair and went to a place where I like to think: the basement (hear me out, it's a good place to think and there's a scooter so hell yeah)

This was when Alexander R. Rose was created. Of course I didn't know his name at that time, but the concept of him as a character was there.

At that time, I barely had any writing experience, just some failed attempts from when I was little and a USUK fanfic (which tbh isn't as bad as I thought it was). But after some time mentally writing, I decided to suck it up and just write, and it wasn't horrible.

Now, with all this time being absorbed in this and other story concepts I've made, I'm definitely going to make this into an official series. I'd say around 2026-2027, I'll be working on this full-time. I plan for this to be the first of my works that I'll publish.

It'll be published in a manga format in the language of Japanese, since that's where I plan to be at the time. I don't speak much Japanese yet (since my native language is English and my second language is Spanish), but at the time of writing this, I've memorized some hiragana and katakana and can say/read/understand some words. I'll post some of my progression here, along with drawing progress, it being manga and all.

By the way, if you're here, it's probably because I've spoken to you and clicked the link to this page that I've sent in a forum or something (if not, hi! I hope you enjoy seeing my progress, random stranger). If so, thanks for sticking with me even though I've bombarded you with story stuff you might not really get in the slightest.

Up until now, I've never used the Y/M/D format, but I want to try to get used to it. The markup code aka "~~~~" uses M/D/Y (as seen in the preface and will be seen at the end of this) though.

If you haven't been following Total Dictatorship up until now, don't worry about not knowing as much as others. You'll be able to see what I've figured out so far about the series later on.

Anyway, recently I've been trying to fill out character sheets; I only have a portion of Alex's filled out so far, but I know Riku's height as well. Most of this information I'll keep close to my chest for the development years, but occasionally I might sprinkle in some information into one of these updates (once I have it).

For example, Alex is 170 cm tall (around 5'7) and Riku is 196 cm tall (around 6'5). Using simple math 'n' shit, we get a 26 cm (around 10 in) height difference ('nother random fact: lots of anime couples have a 25 to 30 cm height difference).

Tbh, I really need to start filling out the character sheets.

I'm not sure about one thing though: do I form the characters one by one, or try and balance forming all of them whenever I feel like it? Knowing myself, I'd probably want to go for the latter because I like doing things whenever I like, but I also think it'd be better to go for the former because it's easier to sort, but it requires more focus.

Comment on it if you feel like it, I dunno.

Alex is the most formed out of my characters right now. If someone asked, I could probably sum up his overall personality and appearance. But there are still some aspects of him I need to work on, like his talents, flaws, fears (maybe? I know some of his fears already), and more mental parts of his personality.

Some of you might know that I was worried about how to go about Alex's mental health. If not, that's okay. I'll explain it either way.

The way he behaves to his people is similar to traits of anti-social personality disorder (ASPD, aka sociopathy), which clashed with a different aspect of his personality. With some guidance from friends, I've decided to make up a disorder which is similar to ASPD in the way that one side of one's personality is manipulative and cruel (and possibly murderous, but it varies from case to case and would be uncommon), but allows a more sensitive, loving side for one's personality. I'll definitely make up the symptoms, but if you want to suggest a name, go ahead.

Yeah, that's another thing. I'm turning to the crowd to suggest things and see if it does well. After all, the people here should want things in the story that interests them, as well as what I personally think is good for the story, right?

I also think Anya might have something similar to this (don't worry, don't worry, I'll probably explain some of the characters in TD next time I update this, so everyone knows who the characters I've created are) as well, but I'll expand on that some other time as well because this is getting pretty long.

Thank you for following the development of Total Dictatorship!

2019 August 8

This morning (and I don't mean at like 7 or 8AM, I mean like 1AM), I was scrolling through social media because I couldn't sleep and I found some audio that fit Alex pretty well. It was pretty cool, but I don't know the name of it yet.

So yeah, here's a short overview of some of the TD cast:

  • Alexander R. Rose: Dictator of Risia
  • Riku Nakashima: A civilian taken by Alex to be a servant
  • Vasska and Kirill: Alex's personal body guards
  • Fifty-eight: One of Alex's other servants
  • Anya Kozlov: Dictator (Dictator? Dictatress? Dictatrix?) of Anskia

These are the characters that appear early in the story (this isn't all of them; there are more I haven't developed yet).

Also, here's a list of the named countries:

  • Risia
  • Anskia
  • Dahki
  • Miscilli
  • Densbor
  • Lekudia
  • Shileme

In all, there are 100 countries, but as you can see, many remain unnamed. Again, go ahead and suggest if you feel like it.

Right now, I can only remember the capitals of Risia (Stokelia) and Anskia (Blavik).

Moving away from the lists, I've been reading a book that has to do with developing a good story. In the portion about characters, it talked about how a character's past should shape their present and how they act. This got me thinking because of Riku's backstory isn't exactly the most cheerful.

As a kid, I imagine Riku as someone logical who doesn't try to rebel against authority, because that's how he was raised by his parents in the early years of his life. After the death of his parents, Riku's aunt and uncle had to take care of him, but they really didn't do a good job. I'm still trying to humanize those two as much as I can and have them justify the treatment of their son and nephew in their own twisted way (the only reason Riku's aunt and uncle were even together in the first place was because of their own son).

After running away to Northstow, Riku developed somewhat of a "I-don't-give-two-shits-about-authority" mentality. As expected, there are still things I need to develop here, like why he stayed in Northstow for so long despite it being a ghost town. Fast forward a few years, to when Alex came across Riku and decided to take him to the palace. At this point, Riku didn't care if he died or not, unlike when he was under his aunt and uncle's authority (he even went as far to suggest that Alex should kill him). Throughout the story, he still continues to change, but as you figured, I'm still figuring it out.

I also was thinking about changing Riku's hair a bit, but I'm not sure.

I can't think of anything else, so that's all for today.

2019 August 9

I found the name of the audio, but the part I heard was the only good part to me R.I.P.

I keep listening to Narkotik Kal and Tri Poloski and really want to draw Alex dressed in a gopnik style, if only I had talent lmao.

But anyway, recently I've been thinking about those animation quirks; I don't really know how to explain it but an example is how in Heir's Game, Isran's eyes become catlike when he's suspicious.

I can kinda imagine the two cowlicks in Alex's hair forming a heart in certain situations, the loose hairs on Riku's head doing the same, and Simon's eye changing to look like the thing you look through to aim when you're sniping someone (I forget the name for it because I have dumb bitch disease, and yes, I mean eye, as in one).

By the way, Simon is a general for the Risian army. I have an idea of his backstory but don't know too much about it yet.

...I don't really know what to say now, but as a heads up, I won't be updating at all next week because I'll be away at camp. I'll bring a notebook to write story stuff in it though.

Thank you for following the development of Total Dictatorship!

2019 August 10

I was thinking about personifying the countries I have so far, but in the Total Dictatorship world, for example, how we Americans have Uncle Sam. It wouldn't exactly be like Hetalia in the sense that the Hetalia countries aren't recognized as "countries" in their own homes (more as regular people, hence their human names), but it'd be similar in the fact that they are used to portray the countries' history in a comedic way. What I mean by that is the personifications would be recognized as personifications, but they aren't real people in the Total Dictatorship canon. They would mostly be used in the actual canon to inspire their citizens and for political comics. It's also probably worth noting they have their own canon which is connected to the TD canon in the way they are personified countries from the TD canon, but they have a separate canon where they do exist. Basically, it'd be something in between chapters just for fun.

As I type this, I listen to the Cha Cha Slide while cha cha-ing real smooth in my chair (and yes, I stopped typing to clap my hands).

I said this yesterday, but there won't be any updates next week but I'll be writing in the free time. I plan to write Vasska and Kirill's first scene in the story.

2019 August 27

Sorry I haven't updated this in a while. After coming back from summer camp, I didn't feel motivated to update. A few days later, we went to Canada and I just got back yesterday. I still don't really feel motivated to update, but I'm forcing myself to anyways because school starts tomorrow and I'll be busy with it and the shit-of-the-academic world we call homework.

I'll focus on Vasska and Kirill for today. Since I brought two of my notebooks to camp, I wrote their first scene during free time. It came out pretty good; they felt like they were portrayed quite well for a first draft.

When I got back for a few days, I got an idea of Kirill's character design, but I have yet to get a general idea of Vasska's design.

Today, I finally gave them full names. And they are... *drumroll*... Vasska Polakoff and Kirill Levitsky.

That'll be all for now, it's short, I know, but I'll actually put pictures in the gallery thing right after I publish this.

Thank you for following the development of Total Dictatorship!

2019 August 29

Yesterday, I started school. For the most part, it was pretty good. But today, the guys who sit around me just started moaning for no reason??? Coming from a Christian private school, public school is quite different...

Anyways, I want to explain stuff about Fifty-eight's backstory and where she is in her life at the start of the story, and also explain her name.

Basically, she was a slave working for a cruel family in the countryside of Risia. They treated her like shit, but she couldn't do anything about it because they very well had the power to kill her. She was saved by Alex in the first year of his reign when he visited the countryside to search for servants. The people who Fifty-eight worked under were killed when they refused to give her to Alex. He then brought her to the palace, where he flirted with her a bit (best to mention that Fifty-eight is an adult who was like 19 years old back then, just a bit younger than Alex, who at the time was 22) because he said that she was the prettiest girl he'd ever seen. Fifty-eight wasn't really interested in Alex (I'm still working on her sexuality; I might make her aromantic, but I'm not sure yet), so she politely declined him. Since Fifty-eight was good at menial tasks and was "too pretty to kill", according to Alex, he kept her around.

You might be wondering, "Why is her name Fifty-eight? What exactly does this mean in accordance to the story?" The answer to that is that she is within a sort of "team" in the palace nicknamed the Numbered Servants.

To summarize, the Numbered Servants are a different type of servant from the other "team" of normal servants. While both do menial tasks, the Numbered Servants are also there for Alex's pleasure. Basically, they're his harem. There are 87 of them who have existed in total, and I say "have existed" because the majority of them are dead when the story begins. Fifty-eight never had a name (the cruel family just gave her insulting nicknames), so she simply took her number as her name.

How it works is that Alex will take someone who he likes, take them to the palace, and attempt to seduce them. Yes, this actually works for him, because he is a charismatic and hot leader, why wouldn't you want to fuck him? Sometimes it works quickly, other times it takes a while for them to give in. It's very important to note that he never forces anyone to do it with him, like c'mon, he may be indulgent, but he has way more class than that. They all are over 18 as well, most are a bit older than Alex, usually in the mid 20s (honestly, almost everyone in the palace is older than Alex).

After this happens, he'll decide whether to keep them or just kill them off then and there. He looks for anything in them that could be useful to him, and if he finds nothing, they're nothing to him anymore.

Something else I should note is that almost all of the Numbered Servants are women, Riku is the only man amongst them. The guards and normal servants call him Eighty-seven in the beginning of the story, but later call him Riku, and eventually, they refer to him in a more formal way (I'm not saying why this happens, you'll just have to wait and see what happens~). Again, note that he is the last of the Numbered Servants. After Riku, there are no more (heads up, this might be important in the future~). The reason that Riku is the only man is because Alex was afraid of being judged for having men for his own indulgence, since anything LGBTQ+ was taboo at the time. As to why Alex brought him in the first place, he felt very compelled to do so, and he did.

It came as a shock to many in the palace because they thought he was straight (did some of the guards seriously not know how many times Alex's pansexual ass had admired them? Smh). They were accepting though, since the Risians were much more supportive about LGBTQ+ rights than Alex ever thought. In fact, many people in their world had positive opinions about the LGBTQ+ community, they just never said anything since some of the world's loudest voices, mostly politians, were against it.

Welp, that's it for today. I might talk more about Riku's backstory next time because I've been thinking about it a lot recently.

Thank you for following the development of Total Dictatorship!

2019 August 30

I don't have school today, thank goodness, but my glasses fucking broke so I can't see for shit. It'll take a while for them to get repaired, but I might be able to find and old pair (if I can remember where tf I put them though).

Also, YOHIO released Silent Rebellion today and I'm s h o o k (he also announced an album so I'm double s h o o k).

A friend showed me this song called Lullaby to Yourself and it reminded me of Riku.

Alright, so I've been thinking about the factors that led up to Riku finally getting fed up and leaving Colya (Colya is one of the larger cities in Risia, it's about an hour and a half (?) from Northstow and about 6-7 (possibly 8?) hours away from Stokelia). I know for a fact that one of the reasons Riku just wanted to run away was because he was romantically rejected by his crush, whom he'd liked since he was about 8 years old (he was 14 at the time he got rejected). Before you think, "Isn't that a bit of an overreaction?", you should probably try to get an idea of how attached he was to his crush (I still have yet to name him, so I'll just refer to him as "crush" or, in earlier years, "friend").

The two of them had been friends since preschool, when they first met. Two years after, Riku's parents died in a car crash. Riku was there as well, and the car crash had injured him, but not to a deadly extent (maybe a broken bone or two and some bruises). This impacted him quite a bit emotionally, since he was only 6 years old at the time, and he was still getting used to living with his aunt, uncle, and cousin. The only person who really kept him happy was his friend. Skip forward another two years, Riku was talking with his classmates about crushes, because little kids do that. They asked him which girl he liked, but instead, he responded with liking his friend. They told him it had to be a girl (I mentioned last time that anything LGBTQ+ was taboo in the TD world, especially when Alex and Riku were kids), so Riku kinda just went with it. When he got home, he wondered why he had to like only girls. He never dared to ask his aunt or uncle about it, or anyone at all. After a while, he figured out he only liked boys, but was too nervous to say anything about it, hell, he didn't even know the word for it ("Wait, there's a word for boys who like boys?!?" - Riku when he got older probably).

As he grew older, his feelings for his friend grew more and more (to avoid confusion, I'll start referring his friend as his crush). His crush, on the other hand, grew more and more into a jerk. I'm still figuring out how and why this happened, but it did. When high school started, Riku finally gathered up the courage to confess his feelings to his crush, while love completely blinded Riku (who saw a sensitive and sympathetic kid who didn't take well to being yelled at or being emotionally/physically hurt, which made his aunt and uncle's treatment of him and his cousin just that much worse) from realizing that his crush couldn't give a fuck about him anymore. When he confronted his crush about his feelings, his crush was disgusted and rejected him harshly. In a moment of pure desperation, Riku blurted out about his situation at home and pleaded for his crush to save him from it all, but his crush shook him off and left. This heavily impacted Riku, who became extremely emotional on the way home. The next day at school, he was avoided by his crush and his crush's friends.

Ok, wow, that part was pretty long. Another thing that I think would've prompted Riku to leave was an argument at home. The day after Riku was rejected, he was still very emotional and didn't want to do anything at all except stay in his room for the whole day. This really annoyed his aunt, who practically dragged him downstairs to do things. Riku expressed his anger with this, which led to an argument with his aunt and uncle (his cousin wasn't there anymore, wasn't even alive anymore at this point in the story). They argue for a while until Riku is finally send to his room. When the dark of the night falls over the town, Riku gathers whatever he has left and escapes his house. After that, he just... runs. He isn't going anywhere in particular, just getting as far away from the house as possible. Eventually, he arrives at Northstow.

I'm trying not to make the backstory too cliché or "depressed Mary Sue"-ish, so feedback on his backstory is appreciated.

Ok, that's it for today fellas. I might update something else today if I feel like it

Vasska and Kirill

Click it to read it because I can't be bothered to write all that down

While taking pictures for TuesdayHVP, I found this thing I wrote for Vasska and Kirill about their appearances and personalities.

Yesterday, I got a question totally not because I was looking for questions from people or anything. It was "For all of your characters, if they had one day off, what would they do?"

By the way, I gave it some previous thought, but I'm also kinda making it up as I go. I'll include characters by themselves (the ones I know enough about to know their personalities) and certain characters together.

Characters by themselves:

  • Alex: He doesn't usually get days off, so he wouldn't really know what to do. He'd just enjoy the fact he doesn't have any work to do, maybe take a stroll around the palace, and go bother people to do things for him. Some other things he do is singing love songs and folk songs for fun and just being overly dramatic for no good reason.
  • Riku: Play games. He's secretly what the youngins call a gaymer, so he'd just be on his laptop all day. Also, he'd ask someone to make him something to eat he hasn't tried yet, just to savor it. Taking a nap would be nice for him, too.
  • Vasska: Train for fun and practice the violin. He likes to train because it makes him feel powerful, also because it just shocks people that much more when someone so innocent-looking snaps their legs like pretzel sticks. Regarding the violin, he doesn't get as many chances to play it as he'd like to, so he'll try playing a new piece of music.
  • Kirill: Go on nature walks. This is something he really likes to do, and he does it often, basically whenever he has free time. Nature calms him down, and he doesn't have to uphold any reputations in the forest. After finally getting back to the palace, he'd go to the palace's library and read some books.
  • Fifty-eight: Explore the palace grounds. She is a curious girl and likes to know every inch of wherever she is. She might go back to the kitchen and bake something because she has a sweet tooth and walking around the whole palace is fairly tiring.

Characters together:

  • Alex and Riku: They'd spend the day together doing whatever they feel like doing. I can imagine Riku playing RPG games on his laptop with Alex leaning on his shoulder (and it's adorable ngl). Speaking of them playing games together, they'd play otome games for fun, and Alex would choose the guy to go after, factoring in personality and how hot the guy is. Riku would look for songs that Alex can sing because he likes to hear him sing, then Alex would have him join in and the two of them would just sing like dorks without a care in the world. They'd also do romantic stuff, like cuddling and the like. And then later, they might fuck because why not.
  • Vasska and Kirill: They'd train together, because if Vasska is hellbent on being able to snap someone's legs like pretzel sticks, Kirill sure as hell is going to be a good friend and support him (and also kindly ask him not to snap his legs). They'd also go on nature walks and talk about whatever is going on in their own lives. I think that Kirill would ask Vasska to play some soothing music on the violin while he reads.
  • Anya and her husband: I haven't mentioned these characters separately (and I haven't mentioned Anya's husband at all, in fact he doesn't even have a name yet), but together, they'd probably have a fancy dinner and enjoy each other's company.

2019 September 14

School is tiring.

On Tuesday, I'll be going to an anime club thing and I'm lowkey pretty nervous.

I've mostly been focusing on fanfic and reading manga, but I did a thing for TD, I swear. And compared to other things, this is a pretty important thing.

So yesterday, I started to make an outline for the official, canon plot. I have some stuff already written down for major pre-story events, but I'll get to main story events when I'm done with that (also, Riku's life just fucking goes downhill on July 1st, yes, this'll be a bad day in TD too wink wonk).

I'm still figuring out some of the world-building stuff, and how Alex will achieve the accomplishment of The Trains Run on Time™ and all. But I'm not trying to make Risia a utopia, I only want to make it seem like one to the citizens.

This was a short update, but I need to do school stuff. I want to get more into plot stuff, but I'm not sure if y'all are going to find it boring. It'd be appreciated if you gave feedback on this. You can ask about major or minor details about the plot, world, or characters, but as long as I know what I'm talking about, I can answer the question in an update.

2019 October 5

Projects can suck my metaphorical dick.

So yeah, it's been a while. It's now Spooktober and what better way to celebrate than listening to the Beetlejuice musical soundtrack?

But seriously, I wanted to update this because I haven't updated anything on this page in, what, 21 days? I've been sleeping a lot recently too, so updates might take a bit longer.

I'm considering to make another category for this page, an "Other" category, to cover the other things I've been doing, like fanfics and other creative stuff.

Anyways, about TD.

I'm rewriting the beginning scene I wrote sometime around late December- early January. It makes me realize that the "prototype" Alex and Riku weren't as different as they are now, but there are still some differences between the prototypes and the now versions. In the first draft, I feel like they were portrayed fairly like I wanted them to be, but I think it could've been better. I kinda brushed over a part in it, so I wanted to go over that too.

Basically, since this was written for a Christian school audience (I shared it with my class) and I couldn't really get into anything, y'know, gay, I'm going to make any sort of tension a bit more apparent. It was fun to sneak gay stuff into my writing though, you'd have to know the context to realize it, at least it was that way for my classmates. There was a part where Riku admires Alex, but I didn't clarify that some of that was a "he's a bitch but damn he's low key hot" vibes; to them it was more "ok wow look at this dictator guy he's kinda cool". They also didn't know about Riku's sexuality (they didn't know about Alex's either; I'm not quite sure my old classmates would understand what pansexual means), so when I told one of them about it, he was like "wait what they aren't straight and they like each other?"

Let's not forget about another part I left out, because dungeon sexual tension probably wasn't the best thing to read to a bunch of Christian school kids. By the way, nothing NSFW happened at that moment (they just met and Riku kinda hates Alex right now, so now isn't exactly the best time for a one-night stand in my opinion.), but that's not to say that something like that wouldn't happen in the future. In fact, that's how Alex deals with his romantic feelings for Riku at first.

Here, let me explain.

You see, Alex confuses romantic feelings with lust. He's constantly been having sex since he became a dictator because it's like, much easier to pick up girls when you're someone famous and hot. With the Numbered Servants (not including Riku), he doesn't feel any real romantic feelings for them, even though some of them kinda do have feelings for him. Back when Alex was dating girls in high school, he didn't really feel any romantic feelings for them either. He did have his eye on a boy though. This is the only time (before Riku) that he felt romantic feelings instead of lust (he did sexually fantasize about this guy though, but that's not all he felt). Since LGBTQ+ was taboo at the time (and genuine romantic feelings are kinda confusing to Alex), Alex never confessed his feelings, instead he just had a crush from afar. The guy eventually went and got a girlfriend, but Alex decided to try and be happy because there wasn't really anything he could do about it.

He kept his sexuality close to his chest following into adulthood, which explains why the Numbered Servants are all girls apart from Riku. Despite not showing it, Alex was afraid to say he was pansexual at that time (since Riku confessed to his own crushes, Alex admires that he actually had the courage to do so, unlike himself). When he meets Riku (the part I'm writing right now), Alex is interested in him in plenty of ways, but one of them happened to be sexual, which he assumes is all that he feels. They have sex, but after, Alex brushes it off as "Riku is just curious" or "It's just sexual feelings" and thinks that it "just being sexual feelings" is all that it is. When Alex finally realizes he likes Riku beyond that, he panics because he thinks Riku won't feel the same way. They eventually acknowledge they have feelings for each other when Riku confesses, but not before a few rounds of Sexy Times™ (the Sexy Times™ will not graphically appear in the actual published manga, but the fact they did it will still be acknowledged, mostly in dialogue).

So yeah, that'll be good for an update to show I'm not dead. I'm still working on the aspects of their relationship (which are subject to change) while also working on the plot, so we'll see how that goes in later updates.

The BL Club

Preface

This one isn't one brought up in conversation often or is that developed, but is the oldest one I have.

When I first got into anime, I wanted to come up with a series of my own. What happened was a trainwreck. This trainwreck we shan't mention much about actually helped in shaping this.

After a while, I got sick of the trainwreck being so bad that I just scrapped it. Said trainwreck was going to be a slice-of-life type of story, but after getting rid of it, I still wanted a slice-of-life story, just one that didn't suck.

To put it simply, I almost completely revamped the story and overall improved the characters and premise. But even after that, I changed it a bit (making it about a club focusing on the genre of boy's love; that wasn't originally going to be there, it was just going to be about a regular club or something).

Since this one isn't usually on my mind, this one will probably be updated less. My ideas for this are mostly scattered, but I hope I can write them down in a way that makes sense. I still have many things to do with this, like characters design (also serves as an excuse for me to use Picrew, fufu~) and backstory. Regardless, I hope that I and everyone else can have fun with this.

Like with Total Dictatorship, this will also be Japanese manga.

...I really haven't been focusing on this series at all, haven't I?

Well, I guess now's the time to finally update this.

(I totally didn't just copy/paste this from above and totally won't do it for the other ones)

Characters by themselves:

  • Beck: Aside from reading BL, she'd watch anime, exercise a bit, and read webcomics. She'd also go to the city and look around, especially in stores. Since she's still quite new to living in Japan, everything is is exciting to her and she'd want to do things all at once.
  • Night: She doesn't like leaving the house, so she'd stay in her room and read BL, along with eating some snacks. Wrapped up in her blanket, she'd listen to lots of music while working on her English skills.
  • Ludwig: He'd study whatever lanuage he's been learning, and later he'd exercise for a while. Despite still being fairly new to BL and definitely not being able to read as much of it as Beck and Night (he kinda finds it concerning how much of it they can read), he'll still read it, as BL is somewhat of a guilty pleasure for him, but he'd read other books as well. Later, he'd make lesson plans.
  • Oskar: He'd just want to relax, maybe read some of the BL that Night lended him and cry over emotional shows. Later, he'd make lesson plans.

Characters together:

  • Beck and Night: They'd chill in Night's living room, eating Oreos, watching/reading BL, and fangirling when their OTPs kiss. It'd just be a time for them to relax and catch up on what's been happening with each other over the years.
  • Ludwig and Oskar: They'd cuddle up on the couch together and watch TV. Tbh they'd just be couple goals on their day off. Since they both speak German, they'd talk to each other in German because neither of them really get to do so.

(Also, if anyone was wondering, no, Beck and Night aren't self inserts, I named hem after myself a long while back and now I'm attached to the names)

Love Is Its Own Currency

Preface

This one right here I started sometime around The BL Club revamp. Personally, I really like the rich kid x normal kid trope, no matter how overdone of cheesy it is.

Basically, LIIOC is just filled with fluff. It was pretty fun to create the relationship because it is and will always be hella adorable to me (is this how God feels? It probably makes Him happy seeing the people who were meant for each other finally get married or something).

In this series, I really feel for Monica because she's just out here shipping Finn and Michael before it was cool (and she's my precious fujoshi child).

There hasn't been too much difficulty in developing this so far. This'll definitely be updated more than The BL Club, but probably less than Total Dictatorship. I still have to do lots of things for this series though.

You probably guessed it, but this will be Japanese manga as well.

2019 August 10

So two days ago, I tried to draw Monica. I'm not that good at drawing yet, so it just kinda looked... off? Still proud of it though.

Oh yeah, should I post stuff like character designs and drawings? And if so, should I post them on this page or make a separate page? Go ahead and comment, you lovely people.

The character designs are good so far. I'm just figuring out some facial features with Michael and thinking about Eliza's design because I'm not sure if I like it yet. Otherwise, Finn, Monica, Amelia, and Lizzie's designs are mostly finalized. There are other characters who are important and lack a design, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

The plot is coming to me little by little, but it's alright for now. Sometimes I think of actually important stuff, and sometimes I just think of really cute stuff, like Michael braiding Finn's hair.

I guess that's all for today because my mind went blank (with two k's: b l a n k k). Tbh I just really wanted to post something for LIIOC (when I get back, I might post something for The BL Club, who knows), so yeah.

2019 September 1

Welp, haven't updated this one for a while.

Two days ago, I got a question totally not because I was looking for questions from people or anything. It was "For all of your characters, if they had one day off, what would they do?"

By the way, I gave it some previous thought, but I'm also kinda making it up as I go. I'll include characters by themselves (the ones I know enough about to know their personalities) and certain characters together.

(I totally didn't just copy/paste this from above and totally won't do it for the other ones)

Characters by themselves:

  • Finn: He'd relax, just living the best life he can. Probably gonna grab some snacks and watch anime in the living room. He's the type to yell swear words and do stupid shit when he's home alone, so he'd do that too.
  • Michael: He'd enjoy the fact he doesn't have any responsibilities for the day. Unlike what people'd think, he'd clean his room and do chores for fun (he likes doing menial tasks on his own time, despite having servants who can do that). After he's done, he'll chill and browse the internet for the rest of the day because he already did something productive and feels no guilt for just lying around.
  • Monica: She'd read BL, unlike any other day. She might start reading some new series that she never got the chance to because school and stuff. Her doing this is also the leading cause of ice cream disappearance in her household. Shopping is something she likes to do as well, so she'd go buy some new clothes and manga.
  • Amelia: She'd practice drawing; fanart, OCs, h0t snas art, and the like. Maybe think up a one-shot story because it's an excuse to draw up characters
  • Lizzie: She'd look online for aesthetic stuff and inspiration. Later, she'd go look for lolita fashion clothes and cosplay stuff. Sketching dresses is also something she enjoys.
  • Eliza: She'd listen to music and read novels in her room. Walking around the garden is something peaceful she likes to do as well.

Characters together:

  • Finn and Michael: Just being with each other would be nice for them. They would probably go on a date to a scenic place nearby and enjoy each other's company.
  • Michael and Eliza: Since they stopped going to the same Rich Kid School™, it would be nice for them to chat and catch up on what's been happening.
  • Finn, Amelia, and Lizzie: Otaku trio time! They'd watch anime in their living room and argue over what to watch, like all siblings do.
  • Monica and Amelia: They'd go buy some manga together and recommend their favorite series to each other.

2019 September 6

I feel like updating this today, so here I am, typing away while listening to BLCD audio.

I've been writing some stuff for LIIOC at lunch during school (next week I might focus more on a USUK fanfic I haven't worked on for a little while, yes, I made another USUK fanfic for myself), centering around when they first meet, and this is how it goes kinda (things are subject to change if I don't like what happens):

Michael transfers to a new school in his sophomore year, which he isn't too happy about, since he preferred the Rich Kid School™ he used to go to. Arriving at the new school in a limo, it held the attention of many, including Finn. Seeing Michael in the corridor, Finn decides to say hi, assuming Michael was nervous starting at a new school. He taps his shoulder, introduces himself and is overall really friendly, but he only gets rude answers back. As classes begin, the two of them are caught up in the rush of people and Finn ends up falling on top of Michael (not in a painful way, but Finn puts out his arms before his face lands, leaving him staring right into Michael's eyes. Basically, it's like floor kabe-don). After they get up and briefly sort out the awkward situation, they both realize they're in the same class and walk there, sitting in the only two seats left, which are next to each other.

At lunch, since Michael hasn't really interacted with anyone, Finn is the only person to sit with him. In their discussion, Finn finds out just how well-off Michael's family is, but doesn't really cares and still wants to be his friend for genuinely good reasons, much to Michael's annoyance.

Back in class, Michael notices Finn looking at him strangely and then back down at a paper, but doesn't pay it much mind and continues with schoolwork. When the day ends, Finn catches Michael before he leaves and gives him a drawing that he made of him and apologized for the strange looks in class. Michael is impressed for once. Finn then ruffles up his hair and leaves to walk home. Getting in the limo, Michael wonders if the two of them could actually be friends, but decides to try his best not to give in.

Also, for the people who are wondering why Michael is being so rude, it's because he was taught by his parents to look down on common, not rich people and to not be associated with them (he was also specifically told this before going to school). He's a nice guy though, under all that tsundere-ness, you'd just need to keep reading to find out (the only problem is that it isn't really written yet).

The Tuesdays of a Hero, Villain, and Princess

Preface

I've had the idea for this for a little while, but I wrote a segment for it only a week ago while I was at camp.

The way I came up with it was scrolling through Tumblr posts, OTP prompts, and incorrect quotes, nothing too unusual for me. It stemmed from the "two boys fight over girl, girl realizes she's ace, two boys fall in love" post. While looking at it, I immediately thought "What if those basic stories where the hero and villain fight over the princess was like this?"

Personally, I've never been a fan of those basic "hero and villain fight over princess" stories. I've never liked how the extremely dense hero always wins and gets to marry the princess in the end, how the villain always loses and is never appreciated by anyone because he's evil and gets thrown to the dirt in the end, how the princess is completely helpless and incapable of doing anything by herself, completely relying on the hero for everything in her dull and boring life.

Now, I'm not saying that a select few of these stories aren't good, I'm just saying it's overdone and I don't really like it. Basically, what I'm trying to do is to make a comedic BL story that gives old, overused tropes a new, better twist while still poking fun at the tropes and how overdone they are.

I don't really think I need to say it, but it'll be in a Japanese manga format.

Thank you for following the development of The Tuesdays of a Hero, Villain, and Princess!

2019 September 1

Aw ye, it's time for the first update for this series.

Allison and Derek

Click it to read it because I can't be bothered to write all that down

Gilbert and William

Click it to read it because I can't be bothered to write all that down

First off, we have some character information I wrote down at camp. I also made character designs for everyone except William so far, so that'll be in the gallery later.

Second, I've been asked to expand on what happens in this story by one of my friends, so here's a short summary (I need make up one for one of the other pages as well):

Princess kidnapping is a normal thing in the country of Madorica, in fact, it's been happening every single Tuesday for the past few years. Surprisingly, Princess Allison is perfectly fine with this. Recently, she's noticed that her captor, Gilbert, is catching feelings for the top knight in Madorica, the guy who constantly takes her back to the palace despite being able to go back on her own, the noble Sir Derek. Seeing this as an opportunity for them to get together and to stop the fighting over who gets to marry her, she makes a deal with Gilbert to try and get Derek to fall in love with him (no matter how much Gilbert denies liking Derek and not technically agreeing to the deal in the first place). With help for Gilbert's henchman, William, she tries her best to set them up, but it almost always ends in disaster, which is actually pretty funny and somehow manages to bring them closer together.

Ok, that actually came out better than I thought it would. Anyways, third thing.

(I totally didn't just copy/paste this from above and totally didn't do it for the other ones)

Characters by themselves:

  • Allison: Read books. She loves to do this and could probably read through every book in Madorica if she wanted to.
  • Derek: Work on his swordsmanship a bit more, and maybe relax on some hills.
  • Gilbert: Think of Evil Plans™. He might secretly steal a picture of Derek from the town square to hang on his wall to look at-I MEAN... for evil purposes and the fact it's stealing... yeah.
  • William: Build small machines with whatever's lying around his house.

Characters together:

  • Allison and William: Have tea in the palace and figure out how to get Gilbert and Derek to date.
  • Derek and Gilbert: They wouldn't usually hang out, but if they had to, they might do something they both find interesting (after a lot of arguing over it) and ignore any type of feelings for each other besides hatred.

Fourth, let's include DRAGONS IN THE STORY HELL YEAH!

Thank you for following the development of The Tuesdays of a Hero, Villain, and Princess!

Other (Not a Story)

Preface

This is here to talk about what I'm doing in life that also happens to overlap with story things, such as learning Japanese and drawing. There'll probably be other things that are going on in my life, too.

2019 October 21

So, ya girl went and did it.

I started learning Japanese, fuckers. *shocked gasp* Becca how dare you swear!!!11! These bitches (my brothers) said I wouldn't, but here I am. *even more shocked gasp*

Anyways, I've been taking lessons with an app called Drops for about two months now. I know some kana, and I can somewhat read things in Japanese (Granted, I don't know what they mean...). I'll be getting a phone in November most likely (yeah, that's right, I'm a sad bitch who doesn't have a phone), so I'll be able to download apps in Japanese where I can practice reading and comprehension. I'll also be getting the Genki workbooks pretty soon, so I'll actually understand what I'm reading.

So yeah, that's mostly all I have to talk about.

Night the cringe2 (talk) 23:21, October 21, 2019 (UTC)

2019 December 25

Holy shit it’s been a while-

Anyways, I’ve been gone because life’s a bitch. I’ve been feeling really stressed out recently, but I still tried to work on stories.

And with this, I’m proud to announce that my website will be up in 2020! Don’t know when in 2020, but in 2020. It might take a while, though, since I’ll be trying digital drawing for the first time.

So yeah, things have happened over the break I’ve had, like Alex’s birthday (October 28) and my birthday (November 16; I also got a phone and that was pretty cool).

Another piece of news, I made another story! No stop that’s too many!1!!11!1! It’s called “Lust Demons Want To Love, Too!” and I’ve been working on this one over the break I’ve had. Because of its more mature themes, I’d rather not affiliate it with the place I’m hosting this right now. It’ll be up on my website when I make it.

And I guess another announcement is that I’m kinda working on a sixth story, which is a collection of romance stories at an all-boys high school. Originally, it was going to be something in The BL Club, but I decided it’d be better off as it’s own story. I also kinda got attached to these two characters in it, Jack and Raiden I find their relationship super wholesome asdfghjkl. Just because they aren’t in the same story, doesn’t mean they aren’t intertwined in some way, though...

aND ANOTHER THING-

I got some books for Christmas: my first BL manga series, a how to draw manga book (cause I still need to improve my drawings), and a Japanese From Zero! workbook. I feel like these will help me greatly with my journey to becoming a mangaka. Speaking of which, I’ve been looking at vocational colleges in Japan. It feels pretty wild that I’ll be going to college next decade, doesn’t it?

So I guess it’s time for New Year’s Resolutions, because I think we all know I probably won’t update until the new year.

ONE LAST ANNOUNCEMENT-

With the new decade, I’ll be going by a new name, as well. So cue the magical girl-themed transformation, where I turn into my new persona, Kerosene Jorts (just call me KeroJorts, though). I might get some social media accounts under the name of KeroJorts, as well, but we’ll see.

Anyways-

In this new decade, I want to work hard to get my life on track and to improve myself and my stories. It’s really possible that I could debut one of my stories in the late 2020s, so I want to be ready for it. Things are definitely going to be stressful this upcoming decade, so I’ll have to work a lot more, and like that guy on the WiiFit board from a long while ago, my body will be ready. I feel like things are looking up for me, so I’ll do my best!

Happy Holidays to everyone, and thank you. To the people who read this, I really don’t feel like I express my gratitude enough. Like, seriously, thank you. But before I go, have a dad joke:

See you next month, year, and decade!

Jokes aside, I’ll see you all in the new decade, and as always, thank you for following the development of my stories.
